We welcomed the New Year with a joyful celebration shared with our wonderful clients, support workers, and staff.
The New Year’s Party was filled plenty of memorable moments as everyone came together to start the year on a positive and festive note.
Clients and staff enjoyed friendly competition, cheering each other on and celebrating each win along the way. The New Year’s Party was truly a reminder of what makes CNHC special, our people. Celebrating together allowed us to reflect on the past year, appreciate the friendships we have built, and look forward to another year of care, support, and shared experiences.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the CNHC Got Talent, where clients and staff showcased their unique talents. From singing and performances to creative acts, the talent show brought excitement and loud applauses from the audience.

⬥ STAR OF THE YEAR ⬥

Following her recognition as CNHC’s Star of the Year,Jessy Claresta, shared a heartfelt message about her journey, gratitude, and the people who have supported her along the way.
Working with CNHC for many years has been a great achievement in my career and life. Being a Support Worker to me, it’s not just about the work that I very much enjoy. It is also about the community and the relationships that I have the privilege to build through this profession, within the field and management. This career drives me, gives me purpose and joy in life.
Being nominated as a star of the year of CNHC is such an honour that I will always cherish. I forever thank you all for the endless support and confidence that you have given me and helped me improve myself everyday. So, once again, thank you John Roberts, Amie, Karolina, Roxanne, Princess, Charity, Michelle, Marjorie, Melissa and so many others that I have not mentioned here but you too are equally important to me.
PARTICIPANT’S STORY
From Athlete to Advocate:
The Inspiring Work of Rohan Mullin

Rohan Mullin’s story stands out as a powerful example of resilience, reinvention, and community impact.
A former champion softball pitcher who represented both Victoria and Australia throughout the 1990s, Mullin built a reputation as one of the sport’s most dedicated competitors. His life changed dramatically when he suffered a severe stroke that left him without the use of the left side of his body, yet this setback became the beginning of a new chapter rather than the end of one.
Mullin’s early softball years were defined by dominance on the mound and an unwavering dedication to his teams. His talent earned him recognition throughout Victoria, and in the early 1990s he captured three national titles. He also became the first Australian to play professionally in Japan, marking a significant milestone for the sport. Even after suffering a stroke, Mullin’s bond with softball remained strong. Today, he pours his experience into mentoring junior pitchers in Melbourne’s western suburbs, guiding young athletes as they build both their skills and their confidence.

The stroke that reshaped Mullin’s life also sparked a broader mission: raising awareness about disability, recovery, and the emotional realities of life after trauma. His memoir, Life’s Not All Rainbows and F#cking Sunshine, delivers an unfiltered account of the challenges and unexpected joys of living with a chronic disability. The book is available for purchase on Amazon, and you can also get your copy to be personally signed by Mullin.
Beyond writing and mentoring young softball pitchers, Rohan has quietly been helping people in need by donating shoes—both to community members doing it tough and to his own workers. It’s a simple gesture that has made a real difference to many.
Rohan’s journey is a reminder that strength comes in many forms. Whether through his book, his coaching, or his generosity, he continues to lift up the people around him.

I’m truly grateful and honoured to be selected as Star of the Month for January.
Thank you so much for the recognition. I feel proud to be part of such a supportive team. I have been working with the company for more than two years now, and it has been a very rewarding experience to support and care for our clients.
A little about me: I enjoy cooking, singing, and dressing up. After a long day of work, I like to take time for myself to relax, treat myself, and sometimes go out for a nice meal. I also enjoy photography — it’s my fun way of expressing creativity and celebrating life after working hard.
A fun fact about me is that I love singing while doing everyday tasks. Singing helps me relax, lifts my mood, and makes me feel happy especially when I’m in the shower, where I feel like my voice sounds much better!
Thank you again for the recognition. I truly appreciate being part of this team and look forward to continuing to provide the best care and support to our clients.
My name is Rajeda, and I enjoy helping and supporting others through my work.
In my free time, I like cooking, learning new things, and spending time with friends. A fun fact about me is that I was born with an extra small toe beside my foot, a condition called polydactyly.

Roselle shares her journey with Complete Nursing, as she beautifully says, “when someone believes in you, incredible things can happen.” In her own words, she reflects on how this opportunity has shaped her path and future.
Hi, my name is Roselle, and my journey with Complete Nursing is something I hold close to my heart.
One of the most life-changing moments for me was being given the opportunity to receive a 407 Training Visa sponsorship — a chance that truly changed the direction of my life.
Being a student in Australia is not easy, as many people know. There are challenges, sacrifices, and moments of uncertainty. That’s why being sponsored is such a rare and precious opportunity. It’s something I never take for granted.

I will forever be grateful to John, the founder of Complete Nursing, for believing in me. His support didn’t just help my career — it helped me stay here in Australia, a place that has become my home. Because of his trust and kindness, I was able to continue building my future in a country I love, surrounded by people who support and uplift me.
This sponsorship wasn’t just a visa. It was hope. It was stability. It was the feeling of being valued at a time when I needed it most. John’s belief in me gave me the courage to keep going, keep learning, and keep growing.
There’s a quote that perfectly captures how I feel about this journey:
“I may still be far from where I want to be, but I’m already so far from where I started.”
Today, I stand proud of how far I’ve come — and deeply thankful for the opportunity that allowed me to stay, to thrive, and to build a life here in Australia. My story is a reminder that when someone believes in you, incredible things can happen.
At Complete Nursing and Home Care, we recognise the dedication and hard work of our support workers. We are happy to support eligible team members who may wish to pursue visa sponsorship as part of their long-term journey with our organisation.
While immigration eligibility and visa requirements are assessed by our Migration Lawyer, there are several important workplace qualities we look for when considering potential candidates for sponsorship.
Support workers who wish to be considered should demonstrate:
- Strong employment history with Complete Nursing and Home Care
- Minimum qualification of a Diploma level relevant to the role
- Reliability and punctuality, with a consistent record of regular attendance
- Strong engagement with participants, building positive and respectful relationships
- Professionalism and teamwork, maintaining good rapport with colleagues and the wider team
- Consistent performance, including regular shifts and dependable work standards
- A valid driver’s licence
Visa sponsorship at CNHC is an opportunity for dedicated team members to continue building their future with us while making a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we support.
Support workers who are interested in being considered may submit their Expression of Interest along with their updated CV and current visa details to hr@completenursing.com.au for review.
DRIVER’S LICENCE SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
Complete Nursing and Home Care recognises that having a driver’s licence can help support workers provide more flexible and accessible care to our participants. To support our team members, we offer a Driver’s Licence Sponsorship Program.
Under this program, CNHC will cover the cost of up to five (5) hours of driving lessons for eligible employees who are working towards obtaining their driver’s licence.
Eligibility requirements:
- Must be working at least 24 hours per week
- Must have been employed with CNHC for at least 6 months
Staff who are interested may send their Expression of Interest to hr@completenursing.com.au.
