Mona and her two Support Workers Nasim & Carmen had a two-night stay in Ripples N Tonic, Phillip Island last May.
They all had a great time and loads of fun. Mona looks forward to doing it again in the future.

Daniel celebrated his 34th birthday where friends and neighbours met at a nearby park where we ate party pies, sausage rolls, fairy bread and of course cake, not one but 2 cakes. Support worker Jessica Williams helped Daniel prepare the food. Daniel bought bubbles and party bags for the kids. It was pleasure to see Daniel in his element surrounded by great friends. Aria loved the fairy bread!

Gloria has been with Complete Nursing and Home Care since August 2021 receiving Community Access supports on the weekdays, going out with our support staff to live her best life.

The 19th of June has been a very special day for Gloria, and She is really excited to announce that she’s now moved in to CNHC’s Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation in Claremont for round the clock supports from her regular Support Workers. Gloria has been counting down the days for her move in to our SIL house in Claremont, she has been very busy recently getting her stuff sorted for her new home together with the support of her Support Workers.

The team at CNHC are very happy for Gloria’s new chapter in her life and looking forward to providing her the best life experience.

Disability and Careers Expo!
On the 14th June 23 I headed down to the Disability and Careers Expo at the Bendigo Tennis Centre to get our name out in Bendigo.

Although this was mostly aimed at people wanting to start a career in the disability sector, there was also a lot of participants that attended the expo to see what providers were around.

I spent most of the day chatting to other providers to give our details in order to support dual provider programs and set up a great contact with Bendigo Health and Intereach.

I then had a more in-depth meeting with Intereach after the expo to get our name set up on their asset map as a provider who is ready to take on new clients straight away.

All in all it was a very productive day and great to reach out to contacts from previous employers as well as many professional contacts that I have in the industry to get our name out and consolidated in the Bendigo region.

I have also put an ad up on a local Jobs for Bendigo People page in order to seek out some new talent in the Bendigo region for our current and upcoming participants which had a huge response. 36 people sent enquiries to be interviewed by myself and Tash in the coming weeks, so all in all it was a huge hit in the Bendigo region for potential employees! Just goes to show the community spirit is alive and well in our country town up here.

Fiona and Casey from our Hobart team attended the Ready-Set-Connect event which was held on 21st June at Royal Hobart Golf Club in Seven Mile Beach.

The event was fun and interactive and followed a speed dating format. In the Speed dating event format, we were given rounds of 5 minute slots to introduce CNHC and the services we offer. Lots of talking to put our name out there in the Tasmanian Community as well as the services offered by CNHC in our Victoria and Queensland Branches.

Brisbane North
Brisbane North hosted our first Winter charity clothing and food drive, this was a massive success with many of our participants securing clothing, bedding and nonperishable foods. All donations received were from CNHC DSW’s as well as members of the community.
