On 8 April 2026, our participants together with our dedicated office staff and support workers, gathered for a joyful Easter celebration at Werribee Park, and what a fantastic day it turned out to be!

The highlight of the day was, of course, the Easter egg hunt, where participants eagerly searched high and low for hidden treasures scattered across the beautiful park grounds.

Alongside the egg hunt, we enjoyed a classic BBQ with sausages, complemented by a variety of refreshments to keep everyone energised and refreshed. It was the perfect setup for a relaxed and social afternoon.

Everyone also took part in Easter Bingo, adding a fun and interactive twist to the celebration.

To top it all off, we enjoyed a peaceful stroll through the park, taking in the scenic surroundings of Werribee Park. It was a lovely way to unwind, connect with one another, and appreciate the beautiful outdoors.

Taking to the Skies

Our Joy Flight program is back, and we recently had the pleasure of organising a special experience for our participants, Siev and Mustafa, together with support worker, JP.

Siev and Mustafa were all smiles throughout the flight, soaking it all in. Moments like these are what it’s all about β€” giving our participants the chance to experience something a little out of the ordinary.

We are so glad we could be part of this special day with Siev and Mustafa, and we are already looking forward to the next adventure.

From the very beginning, you could feel the excitement in the air. Like most first-time flyers, there were a few nerves at first, but those quickly gave way to big smiles once they were up above the clouds. Taking in the wide open skies, the stunning views, and that peaceful calm that comes with flying made the whole experience truly memorable.

Updates

Sneak Peek into Our In-House Training

We are committed to keeping our care safe and high-quality, which is why we run regular in-house training for our support workers, whether they are new to the field or just need a refresher.

This two-hour session focuses on the skills our team uses every day, including manual handling, hoist transfers, bowel management, and medication administration. It’s a chance to revisit safe techniques, good posture, and the key assessments that support quality care.

To complement the practical session, staff are also required to complete prerequisite e-learning modules via Health Trainers, to ensure a strong balance of theory and practice.

This is all part of making sure our team feels confident, capable, and well-supported in delivering the best care possible.

Staying Well in Unpredictable Weather

With sudden changes in temperature and weather conditions, it’s easy to catch a cold or feel run down. At the same time, flu season is approaching, and vaccination remains one of the best ways to protect yourself and those around you. We strongly encourage everyone to get their annual flu shot as soon as possible to help keep yourself and those around you safe and well.
